CE Tour – Noman M. Cole

Great news FMN! The long wait is over. It’s back and better than ever!

The Noman M. Cole water recycling facility in Lorton is opening its doors to the public on 5 December 2026 for tours of the entire facility. Now wait – please keep reading! I’ve been on this tour and it is surprisingly interesting. Every step of the water treatment process is visited and explained by DPWES professionals. Believe you me, the water that comes out in the end after treatment under UV light rays is, well… I don’t want to give away the ending. You should take the tour to see for yourself. (Hint – see cover photo).

Due to construction in and around the parking lot, guests will meet at the soccer fields immediately adjacent the facility to be bussed in, which is no big deal because the first part of the tour is on a bus anyway. At certain points during the tour, guests get off the bus to more closely examine a process.

Visit the facility anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with last tour at 1:30. Festive drinks and snacks provided.

No need to register in BI or with DPWES. Just show up between the stated hours. Tour lasts about an hour.
